This Privacy Policy explains how Zoomy ("Zoomy," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Zoomy mobile application (the "Service"). By using Zoomy, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: your name, email address, and password (handled securely by Firebase Authentication).
Pet profile information: your pet's name, breed, birthday, weight, sex, energy level, bio, and photos.
Health records: vaccination history, medications, and veterinarian contact information you choose to enter for your pet.
Location data: GPS location while using walk-tracking and nearby-discovery features.
Photos: images you upload for your profile or your pet's profile.
Usage data: how you interact with the app, device type, and crash/analytics data.
Communications: messages you send to other users through in-app messaging.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate and improve the Service; track and display your walks and achievements; show your pet's public profile to other users; connect you with nearby dogs and owners for play dates and meetups; send you relevant notifications; calculate and award points and rewards; respond to support requests; and maintain the safety and integrity of the Service.
3. Health Information Is Private
Vaccination records, medication schedules, and veterinarian information that you enter are stored under your private account and are never included in your pet's public profile or shown to other users. Only you can view and edit this information.
4. Location Data
We collect location data to track your walks and to show you nearby dogs and owners for the play date discovery feature. You can disable location permissions at any time in your device settings, though this will limit related features. We do not sell your location data.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information: (a) with other users, limited to the public profile information you choose to display (such as your pet's name, photos, breed, and general traits); (b) with service providers that help us operate the Service, such as Firebase/Google Cloud for authentication, hosting, and analytics; (c) if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Zoomy, our users, or the public; or (d) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored using Firebase (a Google Cloud service) with industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You can access, update, or delete most of your profile and pet information directly within the app. You may request a copy of your data or full account deletion by contacting dev@tdp-labs.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law, such as the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information.
9. Children's Privacy
Zoomy is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a user under 18, we will delete it promptly. Contact us at dev@tdp-labs.com if you believe a minor has provided us information.
10. Third-Party Services
Zoomy uses Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Cloud Storage) provided by Google, and relies on Apple's iOS platform services such as push notifications and location services. These providers may process data on our behalf subject to their own privacy practices.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by other reasonable means. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy reflects the most recent revision.
